Cindy Batchelor
Cindy has in-depth knowledge of both financial services and human resource management, having worked extensively in financial services, professional services and consulting roles.
Cindy has a strong skillset in leading large, complex businesses and delivering organisational transformation. In her 16 years with NAB, Cindy held roles including Executive General Manager, NAB Business, State General Manager, NAB Business Vic/Tas; Executive General Manager, Small Business Australia and Managing Director, People & Communications. She has also worked for NFP Australian Red Cross in the role of Deputy CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, Graduate of Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, Graduate Diploma of Human Resource Management from Deakin University and Bachelor Commerce, Accounting and Commercial Law, University of Melbourne.

Anthony Day
Anthony joined the Auto & General Insurance Company Board in 2024 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. With over 40 years in the industry, Anthony brings leadership capability, business judgement and an intimate understanding of the insurance industry and auto insurance service suppliers.
Anthony has a 20-year track record of producing market leading results in both growth and profitability, while delivering continuous improvement in operations.
In his nine years at Suncorp, Anthony held various executive roles including the Chief Executive Officer of Suncorp Group’s Insurance Business and Chief Executive of the Commercial Insurance business. In 2019 he commenced his non-executive director career holding the position of Chair of the AMA Group until 2023 and is currently Chair of Austbrokers Countrywide Insurance Brokers.
In 2022, Anthony co-founded and became Managing Director of an Insurtech business based in Brisbane called, Argyle Insurance. Argyle comprises an underwriting agency for small business insurance and a technology platform for intermediaries.

Sharon Doyle
Sharon has over 25 years of international experience working with high growth companies in merger, sale, acquisition, and private equity processes across various industries. She is experienced in working collaboratively to define and solve complex problems and has a strong understanding of what drives sustainable value growth for shareholders.
Sharon is Executive Chair and majority owner of corporate and strategic advisory firm, InterFinancial Corporate Finance Limited; and is an executive partner and Global board member of Clairfield International, an international mergers and acquisition partnership. Prior to working at InterFinancial, Sharon was the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Integration at global software company, Mincom.
She currently serves on the boards of Technology One Limited, InterFinancial, and Clairfield International.

Jennifer Lang
Jennifer has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has held roles including Chief Actuary, CFO and Appointed Actuary of several life and general insurers and worked as a Partner for two major consulting firms, specialising in insurance, risk, and capital management.
Jennifer was the Actuary of the Year in 2020, is a regular presenter at conferences on leadership, insurance and risk management and is often requested to commentate on all things actuarial. She currently holds several non-executive Director positions on a diverse range of Boards including Pacific Life Re Australia, Propel Funeral Partners (ASX:PFP), Medical Insurance Australia and Bicycle Network.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, is a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute of Australia and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Paul Malt
Paul has over 30 years of experience in all facets of Information Technology and over 20 years of board experience in high growth companies in both Australia and overseas. Before joining the Board, Paul led a customer-centric digital transformation at A&G in his role as Asia Pacific Group Chief Information Officer.
Focused on consistently improving business performance, profitability and shareholder value, Paul is passionate about building high performing teams, leading digital transformations, and improving cyber-security.

Julie Osborne
Julie has extensive experience across a range of sectors including banking, finance, insurance, health and not-for-profit having worked in financial services for in excess of 25 years.
Julie previously consulted to KPMG for almost 4 years in the Audit, Assurance and Risk Consulting practice with a focus on the financial services industry. Prior to that Julie was an Executive Director at Westpac Banking Corporation for 15 years where she led the Structured Finance business within the Treasury Division and served on various Westpac Group subsidiary companies in Australia and the United States.
She is currently the Chair of Assetinsure Pty Limited and a non-executive director of NSW Crown Holiday Parks Land Manager, Police Bank Limited, and the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. She is a past member of the boards of Summerland Financial Services Limited and the Woolcock Foundation and the Starlight Children’s Foundation NSW Advisory Board.
QUALIFICATIONS: Australian Institute of Company Directors, LLM, LLB and B Ec (USyd), Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors; Master of Laws majoring in International Taxation from the University of Sydney; Bachelor of Laws majoring in Commercial law and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.

Mario Pirone
Mario is a seasoned executive across the financial services industry. He has deep general insurance knowledge across both commercial and personal lines, gained over his 20 years in Group Executive and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) roles.
In 2022 he retired from his role as CEO Guild Group and transitioned into Non-Executive Director positions.
Mario is currently Non-Executive Director for Capricorn Mutual, a discretionary mutual with over 6,000 members, Capricorn Society, a member-based organisation with over 25,000 members and leader in the acquisition of automotive parts in Australia and New Zealand and Insignia Financial Superannuation Entities which has over 2 million members.
Mario has previously held the role of CEO, CGU Insurance and Group Executive IAG.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, Post Graduate Diploma of Business in Insurance, Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Advanced Management Program, Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Business Accounting, Edith University.

Carl von Vivenot
Carl has over 30 years’ experience starting and managing a broad range of companies in the information technology, automotive, insurance, and wholesale consumables industries, as well as in construction and property development.
Carl has a proven ability to identify and capitalise on emerging opportunities and was Involved in the founding of two listed companies during his career.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master of Business Leadership (Administration) from the University of South Africa. Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Extensive business experience and knowledge of the motor repair industry.
